Ex-City lawyer, living in a chalet in a tiny village in the Alps and blogging about the funny (and not so funny) bits. Walks and fresh air are now the order of the day – bye bye smog, hello mountains…
It’s October 2014, and I’m finally updating my ‘about’ page…
Alpine Papa and I have given up London life to bring our three children up in the middle of nowhere. Alpine Boy is nearly 6, Alpine Girl is two and a half, and Alpine Baby is 7 months old. Life as a famille nombreuse is chaos, especially in a place where there’s not even a corner shop, but that’s just how we like it. Honest.

Hi Alpine Mummy,
Just love reading about what you’re doing. I spent two seasons in Les Contamines Montjoie and fell in love with the Alps. Lived in France for years but that was my favourite part.
I really enjoy your blog so I’ve nominated you for a Liebster Award! To find out more about it, check out my latest blog post: http://sunnysideup.ie/?p=659.
Enjoy x

Hello! I LOVE Les Contamines (I’m waiting for few million euros to fall out the sky into my pocket so I can buy a chalet there…)!
Thanks so much for the nomination, it’s really lovely!

Hi Alpine Mummy!
I am a television producer working on the US travel show ‘House Hunters International’. We are looking for English speaking expats who have recently moved abroad to feature on our show. I wonder if you might like to share your story?
House Hunters International is a half-hour TV show currently airing on the Home and Garden Television Network (HGTV) in America. The series is designed to de-mystify the international home-buying / renting process, by going behind the scenes of a house hunt where expats and their real estate agents tour 3 homes. At its core, House Hunters International is a travel show concentrating on the idiosyncrasies of the locales and what makes them special and different.
Here is a link to show you what our show is all about!

We would love to film in Annecy so please get in touch if you might be interested in finding out more!
Best wishes,
Michelle
